Time managment for entrepreneurs with a full-time job is no small feat. For those of us who are passionate about multiple projects, it can feel like there’s never enough time in the day. I, for one, juggle my full-time role, creating handcrafted jewellery, blogging, producing vlogs, and managing my YouTube channel. These ventures bring me immense joy, but they can also be overwhelming if I don’t stay organised and mindful of my well-being.

Multiple Passions, One Purpose

Each project I pursue is a reflection of who I am. My jewellery-making celebrates Ghanaian heritage and sustainable practices. Blogging allows me to share my thoughts on creativity and mental wellness, while my YouTube channel offers a platform to connect and inspire through fashion, faith, and self-care. These passions are different but intertwined by a single purpose: to create meaningful connections and share value with the world.
Despite how fulfilling this life is, the challenge remains—how do I balance it all without sacrificing my health and happiness?

Now, here are five tips I recommend to anyone trying to manage a busy schedule. This is essential if you seeking time managment as an entrepreneurs with a full-time job.

1. Set Clear Priorities for time managment for entrepreneurs with a full-time job

Determine what’s most important each day. Not all tasks need immediate attention, and some can wait. Focus on what aligns with your long-term goals. For example, I create priorities by listing my daily tasks- mentally. I use three categories: urgent, important but not urgent, and can wait. Most times its just instictive- I naturally know what my body and mind can handle and what things needs to be put off till later. Each of us have a way of knowing what things to prioretise.

So, for example if I need to make jewelry for an order, that’s urgent. Planning my next collection is important but not urgent. Cleaning my workspace can wait until the weekend. This method helps me focus, stay productive, and reduce stress while working toward my bigger goals.

2. Time Block Your Schedule

Allocate specific time slots for different activities, including work, projects, and rest. For instance, I dedicate mornings to planning contents. Which is why I cherish traveleing on public transport. Commute time especially in the early morning gives my creative mind space to plan. The evenings after work is when I draft ideas or complete them.  For more intensive work such as jewellery-making or editing videos, these usually occurs over weekends. Though I must say that video shorts also get done on the train back home. One of my favourite video editing tools is CapCut. Check it out – it might be all the editing tool you need.

3. Learn to Say No

You can’t do everything, and that’s okay. Declining tasks or commitments that don’t align with your goals frees up time for what truly matters. For example, I have only a few close friends, so saying no sometimes makes me feel guilty. But thankfully, most of them understand—or at least that’s how I feel. The thing is, friends are busy too, and they often appreciate honesty.

Learning to say no helps you stay focused, and it strengthens relationships built on mutual respect. So, don’t be afraid to set boundaries—it’s part of self-care!

4. Delegate or Automate Where Possible

If you can outsource tasks like editing or managing social media, do it. Automation tools for scheduling posts or managing emails can also save precious time. And I must admit, I do outsource some tasks to others to save me time. Fiverr is a grate place to start for new entrepreneurs and that will be for SEO tasks.

5. Prioritise Self-Care

Schedule breaks and make time for things that refresh your mind and body, like exercise, meditation, or spending time with loved ones. Remember, a rested mind is a creative mind.
