I grew up surrounded by African craft and design. The patterns, symbols, and colours have always been part of my life. Now I share them with people in Australia through my workshops. My goal is to connect you with the beauty of African art while also giving you a relaxing and inspiring space to create.

African art is more than what you see. It is also what you feel. In many African communities, art is not just decoration. It has a purpose. A pattern can carry a message. A bead colour can show status, love, or peace. A carving can tell the story of a family or a village.
In my workshops, you will learn about these meanings. We explore traditional African bead making, bright Ankara fabric work, and the use of recycled materials. These methods are hundreds of years old. Many of them come from Ghana, where people still make beautiful beads from recycled glass by hand.
African art also uses bold shapes and colours. You might see deep blues, sunny yellows, and warm reds. These colours are not just chosen because they look nice. Each one has a meaning in African culture.

While we celebrate tradition, we also explore new ideas. In my workshops, we mix old and new styles. You can learn jewellery making, beadwork, drawing, painting, and textile art. You can blend African patterns with your own creative style. This makes each piece unique to you.
I can tailor each workshop to focus on the art forms you love most. If you want to try jewellery making, we can spend more time learning how to make earrings, necklaces, or bracelets. If you enjoy painting or drawing, we can explore African symbols and turn them into your own artwork.
Art can do more than create something beautiful. It can also help you feel calm, happy, and confident. Many people find that making art helps them relax. This is why I also use my workshops for art therapy.
As a Mental Health Clinician and Social Worker, I know how creative activities can support wellbeing. I design workshops that help you explore feelings, tell your story, and connect with others. You do not need to be an artist. You just need to be willing to try something new.
If you are looking for skills building, my workshops are also for you. You can learn step-by-step how to make beads, work with textiles, or create your own jewellery. These are skills you can keep for life. You might even start making art at home or selling your own work.
I will soon be offering NDIS-approved

services for art therapy and skills building. This will make it easier for people with disabilities to join and benefit from these creative sessions.
